Christmas 2014 *** Kolejne Boze Narodzenie w Boliwii

Wesolych Swiat, kochani!

A oto nasza skromna Szopka Bozonarodzeniowa.

Merry Christmas, everybody! In recent days we got some rain, so the Christmas atmosphere is more like in Europe :) And the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra this year is really beautifully decorated (however, Nativity scene isn’t as cute as last year’s –> click).

And today, I am sending you a virtual card, which has this advantage over real one, that I am sure you will receive it and that it will arrive the same day it was ‘sent’!

The picture shows our humble Nativity Scene. Unfortunately, this year we ran out of Mary and Joseph, but on the other hand, there are three kings in the background and few new animals :) If yu look closer, you will notice that Jesus in Bolivia was born in Toborochi tree, which is called here, as you may remember, the —-> ‘pregnant tree’.

Toborochi could be a Christmas tree of the tropics, although instead of needles, its trunk and branches are covered by thousands spikes.

And that’s a litte Wonderland created in gallery ‘Manzana Uno‘:

Your photo of the toborochi trunk is almost identical to a photo I took a few months back in a garden in Australia. The owners were very proud of their South American tree. Great to learn a little more about it from your blog. Merry Christmas :)
